Bonus Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Yes, I’m Ready”!

May 28, 2017

Hi all! Seeing as we’ve hit another holiday weekend, I’ve decided to release another bonus story to my lucky Early Bird patrons, thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! I’ve got an eye to slightly restructuring my Patreon rewards, as I get a larger lead time worked up and provide stories further and further in advance of their free release on Simon’s website, and the initial upside of that for my Early Bird patrons is a second story this week! This one’s called “Yes, I’m Ready” (MC FF), and it’s about a young woman named Hope who’s doing some very unexpected things this morning. Unexpected to her, especially. Here’s a taste:

Things got stranger when the bus doors opened. Hope found herself standing up, scooping up her backpack and walking down the aisle without really thinking about it. She knew that she wasn’t supposed to get out here; she knew that she would be late for class if she had to spend fifteen minutes waiting for the next bus to come by. But those facts existed only as abstract concepts, entirely unrelated to the concrete reality of her body stepping down the stairs and exiting the bus. They drifted through her mind with no real sense of urgency or importance.

Then she set out along the sidewalk. She caught a glimpse of herself in the reflective windows of one skyscraper after another, but they didn’t reveal anything about her sudden departure from routine. She looked a little different than she was used to, but between the weight she’d dropped over the last month or so and the short haircut, Hope had gotten used to doing a bit of a double-take when she looked at herself in the mirror. Seeing those messy tufts of dirty blonde hair instead of the long, flowing locks she had gotten used to over the years was always a little startling. But a new ‘do really couldn’t explain why she was wandering off like this. Or even where she was going. Hope suddenly realized that for all the urgency in her stride, she had no idea at all where her body was taking her.

She definitely moved quickly, though. It only took her a few minutes to go six city blocks, and she wasn’t even out of breath when she got to a red brick building on 10th Street that she didn’t recognize. A few weeks ago she would probably have broken a bit of a sweat making that kind of a walk, but Hope’s exercise regimen was paying off. Admittedly, she started it thinking she would be hiking, or walking some of the local nature trails, and not watching her body move under its own control to an unfamiliar destination, but Hope couldn’t help noticing the positive side of the situation.

She literally couldn’t. The part of Hope’s brain that wanted to panic felt like it had gone numb.

Hope you enjoy it!

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Remember the Time”!

May 25, 2017

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“XOXOX”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Remember the Time”! (MC MF MD)

Jasmine’s just been asked a question by a stranger. Fortunately, the special app on her watch helps her remember exactly the right answer. Here’s a taste:

She probably wouldn’t have even tried it if it hadn’t been free. Corrine had been absolutely nuts about it, though, and she figured she could always delete it if it didn’t do anything. ‘It’s a clock,’ she remembered Corrine enthusing while they waited for the app to download, ‘but it’s also, like…one of those brain training games? The ones they advertise on television? You have to work out this weird little puzzle to figure out what time it is.’

For a moment, Jasmine really wasn’t sure if she did know. There was a trick to it, she remembered. Something about the way the circles moved, and the colors they displayed as they overlapped, and the little squiggly patterns that looked almost like words…she must not have looked very confident, because the strange man prompted her again for a response. “And what time is it?” he asked.

Jasmine let her eyes go unfocused, simply allowing her stare to become vacant and fixed as the circles moved and danced. That was it. She remembered now. The trick was to stop trying to figure it out at all, and just let your unconscious mind arrive at the solution on its own. That was how the app trained her brain. “Time to obey,” she whispered softly, her mouth spreading into a dreamy smile.

Hope you enjoy it!

Checking In on Check-Ins

May 21, 2017

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 55 astonishingly brilliant Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

Folks who do BDSM play place a lot of emphasis on the sanctity of the safeword, and for good reasons. The safeword is, in a lot of ways, what makes the things we do BDSM and not abuse. It is the dividing line between consensual, agreed-upon activity and non-consensual cruelty, and you will quite rightly see a lot written on the importance for tops of always respecting the safeword (not just stopping, but letting the bottom know that they did the right thing by informing the top of their limits and that it’s good to enforce those limits) and on the importance for bottoms of using their safeword (and not playing with folks who don’t think one is necessary, or who don’t like hearing it).

This is not one of those posts.

This is a post on something that doesn’t get discussed nearly as much, but which is almost as important: The check-in. The check-in isn’t a formally agreed upon statement, like the safeword; it’s a set of practices that the top engages in during a scene to make sure that the scene is still progressing to the full enjoyment of all parties. It can be as simple as an occasional question, like asking, “Does this feel too tight?” after tying a new knot, or as complex as a post-hypnotic command to prompt the bottom to speak up when they’re feeling uncomfortable. It’s not a safeword, but it is something that helps make the use of a safeword less frequent.

Checking in frequently with your bottom gives them a sense of reassurance, which is very important when doing intense or very physical scenes. It’s useful for making sure the submissive doesn’t wind up enduring discomfort that isn’t intentional and agreed-upon; maybe they’re very happy to get spanked until their bottom is red, but they’re developing a nasty crick in their neck from their current position that’s going to bug them for days if they don’t shift. It’s good for keeping the emotional content of a scene from getting out of hand–perhaps you used a particular term without knowing that their high school bully called them the same thing, and they need you to know that everything is really hot right now except that. Check-ins are like a hand on the steering wheel, so that you don’t have to use the emergency brake later.

I’ve talked before about this very useful check-in command that Goddess installs in everyone She plays with, a trigger called “Tell me something you need me to know.” When the subject hears it, they will immediately and reflexively respond with something they need the hypnotist to know at that moment. Whether it’s “This is good” to “I need a drink of water” to “Please touch me more like that,” it’s a way of prompting the bottom to speak up and share their current state of mind and body.

This is really important because if there’s anything a submissive will tell you, it’s that they very quickly reach a state in a good scene where nothing is as important as making the top happy. Call it subspace, call it trance, call it whatever you want, but the idea of breaking the flow of the scene with a personal concern feels either exhaustingly effortful or shamefully selfish (or both) a lot of the time. The check-in gives the bottom permission to share their feelings without any of that emotional baggage, because they’re obeying when they do.

I suspect that some people don’t check in as often as they should because tops don’t want to break the flow of the scene either. They want to give their bottom a fully immersive experience, and interrupting to ask if they’re okay doesn’t seem very “dominant”. But it’s the single best way to turn a bad scene into a good one and a good scene into a better one. It may feel strange at first, but as you and your partner get more used to it you’ll find ways to make it feel seamless and even eroticized (again, if you’re doing hypno-D/s play it helps to be able to provide a trigger to check in. Goddess really makes “Tell me something you need me to know” sound sexy as all fuck.) And you’ll find that the scenes become freer, more joyful, and hotter when both partners know they’re doing what the other one loves.

A good habit of checking in, early and often, is the single best tool in a Dominant’s toolkit. It’s not a replacement for a safeword, but using them together makes for better scenes and happier subs. And a happy sub is one that comes back to play with you again.

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Divide and Conquer”!

May 18, 2017

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Act Appalled”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Divide and Conquer”! (MC MF MD)

Emma and Maddie are trapped together in the lair of an evil mind controller, but they both know they’ll be missed sooner or later. The problem is, so does the mind controller. His secret plan to break their wills involves an offer that one of them, quite literally, won’t be able to refuse. Here’s a taste:

“Whichever one of you surrenders first to my device’s tutelage,” Ryan said, “will be granted full control over the other. Submissive and obedient to me, of course, but the one who resists longer will be programmed with a second layer of conditioning to make them compliant to you as well. In all ways, sexual and otherwise.”

He let out a small chuckle. “And if you’re telling yourself that you’re not interested in that offer, well, I assure you…you will be. I plan on using my…authority, as it were…to convince my first slave that she is bisexual. A-assuming you aren’t already, of course,” he stammered incongruously, suddenly all British embarrassment again for a moment. “And while she will love to submit to men, she will absolutely revel in dominating other women. Quite, erm, sadistically, in fact. And having a toy of her very own will probably bring out her…creative side. Think of it as the stick to go with the carrot.”

“Don’t listen to him, Maddie,” Emma shouted, her voice husky with urgency. “He’s just trying to mess with our heads, get us to turn on each other. We’re stronger than that!”

“That’s interesting,” Ryan said. Emma heard a scraping noise, and realized he was actually pulling up a chair to watch them struggle against his control. “I will admit, I expected to hear that sort of thing from Maddie more than you, my dear. She’s always struck me as the dominant one in your friendship–I would have thought that she was going to be the one to try to trick you into holding out in order to realize some of her less, erm…savoury desires.”

Hope you enjoy it!

Mind Control in “Kinda”

May 14, 2017

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 54 incredibly amazing Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

I’ve been at a Doctor Who convention this week, which was pretty energy-intensive for a lot of good reasons, so I’m going to keep this entry a little low-key. But I will mention the Doctor Who story I got a chance to rewatch, “Kinda”, which is kind of a mind-control bonanza.

The first and most important element was Janet Fielding as Tegan, the Doctor’s companion, getting taken on an epic headfuck that starts with her finding some alien wind chimes and very quickly getting the most gorgeous thousand-yard stare on her face as the sounds lull her into a trance. She’s doing the heavy blinking, the sudden jerk of the head as she snaps back to wakefulness…if Fielding wasn’t actually familiar with hypnosis, she’s got a very good imagination. It’s, um, embarrassingly hot.

(Embarrassing because the actress was in the room doing live commentary. It’s hard not to feel guilty over finding someone’s performance squirm-inducingly sexy when she’s right there.)

From there, she goes into a weird dreamscape and is coerced into lending her body to a malevolent psychic force, which possesses her. The possession scene is brief, as the creature hops to a different body, but it gives Fielding a chance to do a different kind of mind-controlled action and show off a certain amount of kid-friendly sensuality. Not as nice, but certainly not bad either.

For those who are fans of mind-controlled men, the story does feature said evil mind entity jumping into the body of a man, who psychically dominates several other characters. There’s also a scene where a human colonist figures out that the psychic domination is simply due to the aliens being telepathic and uniquely vulnerable to strong-willed individuals, and he forces two of them to kneel at his side in a scene that maybe wasn’t intended to have D/s undertones…but if it wasn’t then they failed rather badly at that.

The Doctor does manage to wrap everything up successfully, of course, including dealing with the military commander who gets hit with an alien whammy and becomes simple-minded and eager to please (if you like older men being mind-controlled in that sort of way)…but in the intervening space, there’s definitely some nice brainwashy themes involved. Definitely worth watching, especially for Tegan’s slow descent into sleepy bliss at the hands of the chimes.

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Zombie Blood Nightmare”!

May 11, 2017

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Soft Kitty Warm Kitty”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Zombie Blood Nightmare”! (MC MF MD MA)

Dahlia’s sister has been tormenting her ever since the two of them started rooming together, driving Dahlia out of the room with one gory horror movie after another until Dahlia’s gotten used to spending every evening in hiding. But sometimes, even the most timid people can be pushed too far.

Here’s a taste:

Being a prisoner in her own bedroom because of her inconsiderate bitch of a sister was bad enough. But tonight…Dahlia’s cheeks burned at the memory. Ronnie had a few of her friends over, and Dahlia thought that maybe, just maybe she could outmaneuver her big sister this once. She pulled out her copy of ‘The Avengers’ and suggested they put it in…and Greg smirked at Ronnie and said, “I don’t know, I was really more in the mood for something like ‘Zombie Blood Nightmare’.”

And Sierra said, “Oh, that one’s so scary–it’s my favorite, Greg!” But she was looking at Dahlia when she said it. And then she laughed, and Greg laughed, and Britney laughed, and Ronnie laughed most of all. The laughter followed Dahlia as she fled to the comfort of her bedroom, fleeing the spooky music and the sight of a decaying hand bursting up from the cemetery ground. She turned up her music, but somehow she couldn’t make it loud enough to drown out the memory of that laughter.

That was six hours ago. Six hours of sulking and fuming and feeling trapped in her own room and trying very hard to ignore the wailing and screaming that her earbuds couldn’t entirely shut out. Six hours of thinking about the intolerable situation her life had become, and six hours of wondering how she could possibly handle another two years of this. Now the lights in the living room were all out, the fun was apparently all over for the night…and Dahlia had made up her mind. She was going to show them. She was going to show them all.

Probably.

Is It Hypnosis? – Part Two

May 7, 2017

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 55 astonishingly cool Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

As with the previous installment of this little sub-series of posts, I’m going to take a look at a few of my stories that feature actual hypnosis (as opposed to drugs, mind-control rays, or other SFF mind-control tropes) to see whether the hypnosis is plausible, or what I like to think of as “cinematic” hypnosis. That isn’t to imply that one is better than the other–these are fantasies of mind control, after all, and sometimes part of the fun of the fantasy is exactly that you can’t do it in real life (or shouldn’t, at the very least). But it’s an instructive and (hopefully) fun way to dispel a few myths about hypnosis, so let’s take a look, shall we?

Shameless: Obviously, this one is completely impossible; the Relationship Spirits always work alone, ever since that blow-up in ’67 at Liz Taylor’s place. (**rimshot**) But the hypnosis in it is pretty much entirely accurate, especially since Hanna has the benefit of supernatural foresight to set her expectations. Alec isn’t hypnotizing Hanna to do anything she isn’t willing to do, he’s helping her elicit the mental reaction with some pleasant physical play, and although there’s no specific time-frame given, she’s clearly motivated to follow the commands he gives her in “the future” to bring about the gang-bang.

It’s even ethical as far as we know; there’s no specific scene where Alec and Hanna are shown talking about consent, but it can certainly be pretty easily presumed to have happened, given that Hanna sees her future under Alec’s control and her response is to move up their date.

Sex as a Weapon: This one may not technically be considered “hypnosis” per se as much as a general conditioning technique, but it’s definitely presented as something that’s possible with no fantasy elements, so we can take a look at it. In that light, well…it’s certainly possible to get someone to relax their guard by appearing to be helpless and sexy, and I suspect it’s probably very possible to get a four-star general to prop up your bullshit military appropriations budget by having an affair with them that involves kinky sex. But I think that we can draw the line at the mock-shooting at the end, and the implication that Major Malone will be brainwashing her superiors into supporting her. Those seem a little bit too implausible given the timeframe involved.

Take My Breath Away: This one is very plausible, and draws on my real-life experiences. While this particular scenario never occurred, pretty much everything “Ruth” does to “Jon” in the story is something I’ve actually experienced, and certainly it would be very easy for Tara in the story to find herself so primed to go into a trance that it wouldn’t take much of a formal induction to bring her under. The pleasure triggers, the orgasm trigger, the information about fractionation–this is definitely one that’s pretty reliable, if you’re looking for a hypnotic fantasy you could actually live out.

Funeral of a Good Girl: This one is what I’d call a verrrrrrry qualified “maybe”. If Megan was someone harboring some strong sexual fantasies involving submission and bimbification, then it’s possible–just barely on the dim and glimmering far edge of possible–that a scenario like this would get her subconscious interested enough in the idea of having hot sex with a classmate who’s got a reputation for being a hot Dom with an amazing cock that it convinced her conscious mind to go along with his hypnotic patter for a while.

And it’s just, just barely near enough to plausible that if you stood on that edge with tip-toes, you could reach out and grab the idea that if Tyrone kept indulging that fantasy and didn’t really give her time to sort out her feelings, and if he got her isolated among a number of other women who had previously bought into it and brought peer pressure to bear to convince her to keep going along with the fantasy and the hypnosis and the sex, all three of which are things we’re hypothetically assuming she’s really into for the purpose of discussion, then yes, he could probably keep her involved for a long time so long as she wasn’t being asked to do anything she didn’t really want to do. Which could be a while, depending on her feelings about sex work and whether she was secretly sick of the pressures of academic life anyway.

But I think it would be a very delicate degree of control even if Megan happened to be the exact right personality type to be susceptible to it, and I think probably this story leads to her dumping his sorry ass six months later and sharing her story about Tyrone and his magic penis only when very very drunk with close friends.

Glory Days: And we end this session as we begin, with Hanna and Alec (and this time a cast of thousands!) This one is much, much less plausible than “Shameless” was, despite the lack of heavenly spirits showing people in bad relationships the error of their ways. It does fall under the same degree of “marginal believability” that “Funeral of a Good Girl” did; if all of the women in the story are actually kinky submissive bisexuals (which, okay, the flashback does seem to strongly hint at that at the very least), then it’s just possible that Hanna could seduce them into a sexual fantasy of irresistible control that also evokes their happy memories of doing kinky shit together as teenagers, and use that to give them suggestions that would play into those happy memories to give her a little bit of fun sexytimes now and again. But unlike ‘A Christmas Carol’, it does seem unlikely that it could all be achieved in one night.

That’s it for this installment, but I’ll definitely be revisiting this again. See y’all next week!

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Worst Case Scenario”!

May 4, 2017

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Quiver and Quake”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA for publication. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Worst Case Scenario”! (MC FF)

Chloe and Gillian aren’t a couple anymore, and that’s pretty much just how Chloe likes it. She’s seeing someone else, she’s playing with hypnosis, and she’s very happy. But it turns out that Gillian has never gotten over her. And if there’s one person who shouldn’t find out Chloe’s trance trigger, it’s Gillian. Here’s a taste:

“You’ve got mazy eyes, Chloe girl.” Chloe honestly wasn’t sure what shocked her more when she walked into her apartment–the words, or the voice that spoke them. She honestly never thought she would hear from Gillian at all after the last time they saw each other, and she sure as hell didn’t know that Gillian still had a key to their place. That alone would have left Chloe rooted to the spot. But those words…

“Isn’t that right?” Gillian asked. It didn’t sound like a question the way she said it, though. Gillian had a way of making even the simplest statements into gloating, and her voice was practically dripping with smug triumph now. “I heard you had mazy eyes, but I had to see for myself.”

Chloe turned, swiveling on one foot as if she was mounted on a dowel, and there she was. Gillian Kirke. She looked a little older, perhaps; her cheeks didn’t look quite so baby-faced anymore, and she had given in to her butch tendencies and chopped most of her  dark hair off. What was left looked almost silver when the light caught it. But she still had those same gray eyes, the color of deep glacial ice. Chloe realized she was looking much closer at those eyes now.

Hope you enjoy it!
