Early Bird Sneak Peek: “He Broke Your Memory Last Night”!

January 31, 2019

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Art Appreciation”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “He Broke Your Memory Last Night” (MC MD FD FF)!

A stranger approaches Christine at breakfast with an unusual story – she insists that she and her partner spent all last night hypnotizing Christine, breaking her will, and leaving her instructions to meet at this cafe in the morning to continue her programming! Of course it’s absurd, but somehow Christine can’t quite get this woman out of her hair. Or her cunt. Here’s a taste:

Christine tore her eyes away from the hand on her knee with great difficulty–the bitch was actually sliding it up a couple of inches like she thought Christine wouldn’t even notice–to look at the table. “Nothing,” she said. “I mean, a cup of coffee, a couple of syrup stains, and a used napkin, but nothing important. Why? What does it matter?”

The woman in green’s fingernails brushed the inside of Christine’s leg, just above her knee. “You don’t see a plate, do you?” she asked, her voice teasing Christine with the insinuation of some secret that only she knew. “You ordered breakfast, didn’t you?”

Christine furrowed her brow in annoyance, picking up the implications of the other woman’s words and not liking them one little bit. “I, I already finished eating,” she said, unable to avoid sounding defensive. “I was just doing a little people watching before I went home. It’s a Sunday morning, I don’t have anywhere I need to be, what’s wrong with that?” She felt her hackles raising, her entire body tensing as if preparing for a fight. It wasn’t just the woman’s attitude–Christine felt like she absolutely had to refute the unspoken accusation for some reason.

The woman’s giggle made it even worse. “Oh my gosh!” she said, putting her free hand to her lips as if to stifle a laugh so loud it would make the entire restaurant stare. “You don’t remember being told to meet me here, you’ve spent the last hour just staring vacantly out the window, and Trevor still thought you might not be suitable? Oh, darling! That is just…” She squeezed Christine’s leg, as though mere words couldn’t convey the affectionate amusement she felt at Christine’s actions.

Hope you enjoy it!

Thoughts on Charmed 2019

January 27, 2019

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 97 joyfully brilliant Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

As most of my readers are already aware, I spent last weekend at Charmed, an erotic hypnosis convention held in Maryland. I’m not going to do a recap per se, because the stories I’d have to share aren’t just my stories and I want to respect the privacy of other involved parties. (I do, however, give blanket permission to anyone who wants to mention me in their recaps, so long as appropriate scene names are used.) But I do want to tell you about a few of the things I took away from the con.

1. Charmed… and the hypnokink community… just keep getting bigger. And that’s good. This was the largest Charmed yet, with over 330 attendees, and it was clear from the conversations and questions in the panels that many of the people attending were experiencing hypnosis for the very first time. Speaking as someone who wants the scene to be welcoming and inclusive, I think this is a great trend that I really want to see encouraged. I’ve already got a few ideas for next year to make sure that folks who have never seen either side of a pocket watch before can get settled in as easily and smoothly as possible, but I just really want to say that it’s amazing to know that so many people are getting into the kink. That said…

2. It may be time to think about a full 101 track. This obviously isn’t in my control – I’m not in charge of programming, and the folks who are have a lot on their mind – but given that we’re seeing more and more new people every year, and more and more people excited about learning how to do things that some of the long-time attendees (the first hypnokink con is coming up on 10 years ago!) are already familiar with, it may be time for an entire track of classes that focus on teaching the basics of hypnosis, emphasizing good consent and safety practices and giving more information on the “how to” end of things rather than going over all of the possibilities for play. This may mean coming up with a class list and approaching people to present it, rather than asking for an open call for suggestions, but I think it’s very doable and very useful for people who want to develop their skills. Speaking of which…

3. I’ve somehow become a pretty good hypnotist. Don’t get me wrong, I attended a lot of great classes and polished my skills a good bit over the weekend. But more and more, I’m finding that I’m nodding in agreement instead of understanding during presentations, and that when I do encounter some new techniques or inductions, it doesn’t take long before I can put them into practice. In fact, one of the inductions that someone taught during a class was actually mine, which had come to her second or third-hand through the game of telephone that is the Internet. I’m not quite ready to be crowned an authority or anything, but this year went a long way toward quieting some of my inner self-doubt about my abilities. And honestly…

4. At least one person thought that my views on consent and safety needed to be more widely disseminated. (That one person was Daja, who is very good about getting people to believe in themselves.) I’ll admit, I usually save my Serious Discussions About Kink for this blog, but Daja was of the opinion that I should be putting them out to a wider audience. So I’m thinking that at least for a while, instead of linking to this blog, I’m going to crosspost to my other social media sites, because I do want people to be thinking about the right ways to do this. There are many, but they all have one thing in common – caring about the people you play with. And I want people to hear about ways to do that wisely and well.

5. We’ve still got things to do. I think that this year has shown the progress we’ve made regarding enthusiastic consent, and modeling good hypnosis practices (with the caveat that I wasn’t on the consent team and may not have heard about everything that happened this year). But I still think we can do better in terms of accessibility – that wasn’t all the convention’s fault, the hotel was in the middle of an ownership changeover and a lot went wrong with the venue that was outside of the con’s control. But I think we can positively approach the way we handle classes to help people with neurodivergences that impact their response to different teaching styles, and I think we can make the con more open to people who are currently underserved. This is a conversation happening a lot with vanilla cons right now, and I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t have it here as well.

6. There are just too many awesome people in the scene right now. I really feel like I missed out on seeing a whole bunch of amazing people I know from previous events – it’s not that I don’t want to spend time with all the great folks into hypnokink, it’s just that with over 300 people in the hotel, I didn’t even bump into some of my friends until the last day (or later – the Monday in the lobby was full of tearful goodbyes). I think as the scene grows, you’re going to see a lot of people forming social circles and sub-circles and polycules and friendships and relationships, simply because we’ve reached the point where the scene is too big for everyone to know everyone else right now. If you go to an event like this, please remember – it’s not about making friends with that dude who posts a lot on Tumblr or that woman who makes cool videos or this person who has an incredible scene blog, it’s about putting yourself out there and finding someone to share the con experience with who is interested in the person you’re showing to the world. And as the great big party gets greater and bigger (and possibly moves to a larger hotel next year) you’ll find that person. And they will be so happy to see you.

No Liner Notes until next week, but they’re not forgotten, I promise!

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “X-Static Process”!

January 25, 2019

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Lazy Boy”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “X-Static Process” (MC MD MF)!

Melanie’s just had a traumatic experience – the bank she works at was just robbed. It was robbed by a woman who had no eyes, nothing but blank pits of endless static where the eyes should be. And somehow that isn’t even the worst part… here’s a taste.

It wasn’t much, not at first. When Melanie stumbled into the bathroom to splash cold water onto her face and chase away the cobwebs from her brain, the woman staring back at her in the mirror had only a few tiny dots of white flickering against the darkness of her pupils here and there. Melanie could almost almost almost convince herself that it was her imagination, that she had spent so much of yesterday morbidly dwelling on the woman with static in her stare that she was seeing it everywhere she looked.

But then she stared at herself in the mirror a little while longer. And she could see the static in her eyes.

Once she trained herself to notice what she was looking for, Melanie could actually see out through the parts of her eye obscured by static. She watched own eyes for what felt like hours, grabbing the hand mirror from her dresser and taking it into the living room where the light was better and staring at her own reflection until she could see the difference between the world as she normally viewed it and the world as seen through the bursts of visual noise.

Hope you enjoy it!

New Toy for Charmed!

January 20, 2019

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 93 transcendent and terrific Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

I’ve mentioned in the past that I’ve picked up a new hobby over the past few months, making jewelry and hypno-toys for myself and my loved ones. Honestly, I feel like I’m barely scratching the surface with it as yet – I’m really just picking up chains and pendants and beads and stuff from local hobby stores and bending them to and fro with a pair of flat-head pliers until it holds together. But I’m really liking the results; here’s a piece I made for myself and my Goddess Lady Ru’etha to share at Charmed:

It’s really very simple, but I was really happy with the way it came out. The chain is just long enough to dangle from my finger, and the loop on the end lets me hold it very easily without having to grip it (and although it’s not immediately obvious, there’s a clasp there, so you can adjust the size of the loop in just a few moments). Here’s a look at it “in action”, as it were:

As you can see, it’s really easy to make something very beautiful with just a quick trip into a hobby store, and there’s nothing quite so satisfying as brainwashing something with a toy you made yourself. I can’t stress enough how much I really enjoyed doing this, and I look forward to sharing future projects with you as well!

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “ZYX”!

January 16, 2019

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Messy”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “ZYX” (MC MD MF)!

Miku and her boyfriend Chris are playing one of their favorite hypnosis games again. It’s very simple – he prompts her to recite the alphabet backwards, and she tries to remember as many letters as she can before she sinks into a deep, obedient trance for him. It turns out to be surprisingly challenging. Here’s a taste:

“Y,” Miku intoned, trying not to think about the way her lips already felt numb and clumsy as she spoke. She understood enough about hypnotism to know that every time she went through this sequence of actions, she became more and more susceptible to trance simply by association, but she was still just stubborn enough to force herself to try to get a little bit further along each time. Last time she made it as far as ‘O’. This time she was sure she could get all the way.

Chris didn’t make it easy, though. “That’s it,” he said softly, his voice coaxing her deeper into relaxation with every word. “Picture every letter in your mind as a link in a chain, each one leading you deeper down to the next one in a steady, even descent. You always start wide awake at ‘Z’, and you always sink down to ‘Y’, and after that comes…”

“X,” Miku murmured, ignoring the way her brain lurched slightly as she spoke. It would be a lot easier to win if Chris didn’t keep changing the game every time they played; sometimes he described the letters slipping away from her mind as she sank deeper into trance, while other times the recitation itself was hypnotic. She could never keep up with it all, especially not with the crystal constantly drawing her gaze back to its sparkling, captivating depths.

Hope you enjoy it!

Charmed Is Coming!

January 13, 2019

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 92 charming and charmed Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

As I’m sure you’re aware if you read my Tumblr… or, rather, as I’m sure you would be aware if Tumblr’s catastrophic collapse hadn’t made it much more difficult to communicate this kind of thing… I’m headed to Charmed next weekend! It’s going to be a very fun and exciting weekend of polishing up my hypnosis skills, spending time with friends and loved ones I don’t get to see in person as often as I’d like, and maybe doing a little tranceplay with one or two folks. I’m looking forward to it a lot.

I don’t really have a whole lot on the agenda as a presenter this year; I’m going to be taking part in the erotica reading on Saturday night from 9 PM to whenever, and I’ll probably bring some of my new material that hasn’t been released anywhere (I’ve got a new story featuring the long-awaited rematch between Sangria and WildRose, so that might be my first pick). Also, I’m providing reading material for the Hysterical Literature event in the previous slot, which may interest some folks as well. On Sunday, I’m planning to put up a suggestion for an unconference slot on brainwashing mantras and how to build them, and Sunday afternoon at 4:30 I’m co-presenting with Jennifer Kohl and The Secret Subject on how to grow a Patreon.

I will be trying to live-tweet any panels that I have permission to live-tweet, using the hashtag “#charmed19”; however, that is entirely subject to the enthusiastic consent of the presenter and anyone’s privacy concerns, so there may be times when I go a little quiet. I love the con, I want everyone who’s not attending to have access to as much useful information as they can get, but the security and comfort of the attendees always takes primacy in this kind of situation. The same holds true of any kind of convention recaps – if I’m not able to tell my stories without sharing other people’s private memories, it’s going to stay at the con.

Which is just one more reason for everyone reading this to come to next year’s Charmed, right? Right.

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Unraveling”!

January 10, 2019

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Uh Huh”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Unraveling” (MC FF)!

Doctor Ishani Gupta has been waiting for this moment for a long time. She’s tested her brainwashing helmet on countless victims, she’s perfected the process of unwinding a person’s core personality and leaving them a blank slate, and she’s finally lured her colleague Doctor Priyanka Misra into the perfect position of total vulnerability. You can’t blame her for boasting just a little, can you? Here’s a taste:

“By now, I suspect, you’re experiencing a phenomenon known as hypnotic paralysis–you can hear my words, and even make sense of them, but reaching up and pulling the headset off probably seems too much like work when the spiral that you see wherever you look is so compelling. That’s normal, Priyanka. In a few minutes, you’re probably going to reach a depth of trance where remembering anything beyond your immediate experience is simply too difficult, which is the approximate baseline state that I’ll need you to be in for the rest of the experiment. It’s why I feel so comfortable talking to you about what’s to come–your brain simply isn’t up for retaining that knowledge right now. It won’t help you. Nothing will.

“Since I’m telling you all this, I may as well let you in on everything you’re going to experience. Once you’ve reached a deep hypnotic state–the device is tracking your eye movements, heart rate, breathing rate, a few other simple variables, it’ll know when you’re deep enough–you’ll begin to hear a voice through the headphones. You won’t recognize that anything’s changed, because it will still be my voice–I’d program you personally, but I’m afraid I simply don’t have the energy to keep talking to you through the entirety of the process. I’ll need to sleep at some point… well, so will you, but the machine won’t let you reach REM state. A certain amount of sleep deprivation is essential to the plan. Keeps your brain’s critical thinking faculties suppressed.

Hope you enjoy it!

Is It Hypnosis? – Part Fifteen

January 6, 2019

(This post has been brought to you by the efforts of my 90 perfectly fantastic Patrons! Visit my Patreon page to learn how to become one of them.)

And after a bit of a hiatus, it’s time to get back into my irregularly-posted, 100%-guaranteed-unreliable-or-your-lack-of-money-back look at my old stories and evaluation of the plausibility and ethics of the hypnosis within! Let’s get started, shall we?

Dirty Laundry: This one is definitely very plausible (and relatively mild) in its use of hypnosis; Will, the main character, is clearly into Rowan at the start, and it wouldn’t take much time or effort to get him into a state where he’d be happy to follow a suggestion that was already something he wanted to do. This is very much skirting the vague and ill-defined line between hypnosis and seduction, and I don’t think I’m being too inaccurate in saying that many lonely people are happy to be seduced by someone charming and attractive. (YMMV on what “charming and attractive” specifically means, here.)

Is it ethical? Well, Rowan doesn’t specifically say, “I am going to induce a trance state and make suggestions to you,” which is really something that you should be honest with your play partners about. Covert hypnosis is never cool. That said, she makes her intentions pretty clear right from the get-go, she’s forthright with Will about what she wants from him and in general, and her ‘hypnosis’ is really just dirty talk with a thin veneer of hypnotic language. I’ve certainly written people who’ve done worse.

The End Is the Beginning Is the End: This one’s a little tricky to judge, because the twist at the end (spoilers!) (for a nearly seven year old story!) is that this isn’t the protagonist’s first or even second attempt through the loop. She’s been repeatedly awakened and reinduced, each time with an instruction to forget the previous times and ignore any signs that time has passed, so the commands she’s given over the course of the story have no doubt been repeatedly reinforced. Moreover, we don’t see the initial induction, so we have no way of knowing how much of her… ahem, slightly implausible… susceptibility to hypnosis is natural and how much of it has been created by the reinforcement. In short, while it doesn’t seem that believable, repetition and conditioning are a hell of a thing.

It is, however, pretty safe to say that absent a sequence in which she gives her enthusiastic consent both to being repeatedly hypnotized in public, and to having her memory modified to forget that she knows the hypnotist and wants to be hypnotized (and certainly CNC scenes like that can be very hot, but…) this has to go in the “Do NOT Try This in a Coffee Shop Near Home” file.

I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That): And speaking of things that are incredibly sketchy… look, I’m about 137% certain that this wouldn’t work. Even if you factor in the fact that Jim is looking for a way to reconcile his self-professed identity as a straight man with his impending plans to be intimate with another guy, even if you take into account that he’s actively looking for an excuse to engage in homosexual activities without having to accept any emotional responsibility for it, even if you decide to go outside the stated text and play the “he’s a closeted gay or bisexual man and just hasn’t realized it yet” card, the fact remains that I just don’t think that hypnosis can be used to break that many boundaries that quickly, especially when the subconscious self knows that the hypnotist has been using trance to try to violate the subject’s trust that overtly.

But I’m not about to do any of the things that would prove my hypothesis right or wrong, because using hypnosis on a patient to get them to invite you into their bedroom for a threesome is just so far past the Event Horizon of Wrong that it’s not something we should ever discuss as anything more than a pure fantasy. So we will never find out.

It’s All Coming Back to Me Now: This, on the other hand, is the exact opposite of sketchy. And the exact opposite of implausible. It’s a loving, entirely consensual use of hypnosis in a situation where everyone has communicated in advance their needs and desires – the specific actions are not planned in advance, but they’re all things that are known to be ‘green’ to both of the parties involved, and everything is being done in the spirit of love and acceptance. And, I don’t mind saying, this is based on some real-life activities between myself and my Goddess (although it conflates together a couple of evenings, and omits a few things that we did together for the sake of narrative flow). This is a story that shows all the ways that you can use hypnosis, ethically and consensually, to create a wonderful experience for you and your partner.

One of These Nights: Annnnd this is a story about a skeezy guy hypnotizing his neighbor to give him free sex shows in the middle of the night. It’s safe to say that this is at best, highly unlikely to work; Donna mentions in the story that she doesn’t do nude photos professionally, so she’s clearly got a taboo about displaying her naked body to others, and it’s pretty hard to believe that the implied hypnotic commands that keep her wandering out of her bedroom in the middle of the night to masturbate for Jimmy would be strong enough to hold up in the face of that kind of prohibition, no matter how frequently he reinforced them. (And I’m generally of the opinion that reinforcing a command that a subject is resisting would probably make them less likely to accept any commands from you at all, rather than more likely to accept the command they’re resisting. Again, not that I’m likely to try.)

Which is, ultimately, the verdict on this story as a whole. It’s something you shouldn’t try, because even if you could pull it off, the thing you’d be doing would be horribly, horribly wrong and unethical and just a big nope all around. If you want someone to strip for you under the influence of hypnosis, find someone who’s into stripping and hypnosis and negotiate a scene.

And with that rather obvious message out of the way, we’re done with another installment! See you next week for another blog post, and next (shrug emoji) for another “Is It Hypnosis?”

Early Bird Sneak Peek: “Play With Me”! (MC MF FD BD)

January 3, 2019

Hi all! It’s time for another Early Bird Sneak Peek, where I share a glimpse at the story my lucky Early Bird patrons will be enjoying next Saturday thanks to their pledges at my Patreon page! Of course, if you’re not an Early Bird patron, you’ll still get a story next week–“Vertigo”, teased previously as an Early Bird story, has already been submitted to the EMCSA. But the Early Bird patrons will be getting “Play With Me” (MC FD MF BD)!

Skye’s getting bound tonight. She’s going to be wrapped tight with surgical gauze, teased and played with and tantalized with bliss until she’s a whimpering, sticky puddle of arousal. Oh, and she’s the top… here’s a taste:

Nathan’s eyes closed heavily in a glacial blink, then reopened with visible effort. “I’m your toy,” he said softly. There was no emotion in his voice, not even the drowsy bliss she sometimes heard when he was first descending into trance. He had gone too deep for that, down into the place in his head where the voice of his conscious mind was compltely silent and all he could do was respond and obey. It didn’t mean he wasn’t happy, of course. It just meant that he was so helplessly blank that he couldn’t think about what the words he was saying meant anymore.

“And what do good toys do?” Skye asked while she finished undressing, her panties coming away from her skin in a sticky, soaking mess as the thin fabric clung to her labia like an eager lover. She’d been looking forward to this all week, daydreaming about it as she texted Nathan from Singapore and video chatted with him from Hong Kong, her libido turning every night of the business trip into a masturbatory fantasy of all the things she would do when she returned. It still felt like the middle of the night to her jet-lagged brain, but she had more than enough energy for this.

Nathan let out a slow, lazy sigh, the only sign (along with his extremely hard, purplish-red cock) of the deep, obedient ecstasy flowing through his hypnotized mind and body. Skye felt herself practically glowing with pride at the sight of him, like a sculptor admiring a finished work–she’d shaped every single one of his thoughts by now, transforming him into her perfect submissive. He’d loved every step of the process, of course, but Nathan didn’t have any idea when they started on this journey together just how much his mind was capable of. She was so glad that she could show him.

And she was about to be more than just happy. “Good toys play with their owners,” Nathan responded reflexively, taking the bandages off the table and winding them around her ankles. Skye stood with her feet close together and her arms at her sides, feeling her cunt gush with arousal as the fabric unwound from the roll and clung to itself with each circuit of her body. He was careful to do several layers before taping the end to ensure that Skye could do nothing more than wiggle as he worked his way up.

Hope you enjoy it!
